Alphonso Smith is in his 11th year as head equipment manager for football, and
in his sixth year overseeing all equipment operations. Smith served as a
basketball manager during his undergraduate and graduate years at Clemson
(1985-92).

He was a member of the staff of Clemson's only ACC regular season
championship team in history (1990). He also served as a graduate assistant in
1992. Smith worked as assistant equipment supervisor at the University of
Memphis for three years. His responsibilities were assisting with football and he
was in charge of men's and women's basketball, women's golf, men's and
women's track.

Smith is a 1991 graduate of Clemson University and he earned his degree in
social science secondary education. He is a member of the Athletic Equipment
Managers Association. Smith is married to the former Kim Teel of Omaha, NE.
They have a son, Andrue Christopher.

Abe Reed is in his 8th year as Football Equipment Manager. Reed served as a
student equipment manager for football at University of Houston (1996-1997).
Served as a graduate assistant for football at Clemson (1998-2000).

Reed is a 1997 graduate of University of Houston and he earned his degree in
Biology. He is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association. Reed
is married to the former Holly Hepfer of Sumter, SC. They have a son, Lance.

Mike Wilson is in his 3rd year as Assistant Equipment Manager. He is better
known as HOUSE. Wilson served as a graduate assistant equipment manager
for football (2002-2004) and as a student equipment manager for football at
Clemson (1999-2002).

Wilson is a 2002 and 2004 graduate of Clemson University and he earned his
undergrad in Sociology and his Masters in Human Resource Development. He is
a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.

Danny Earnhardt is in his 3rd year as serving in the equipment room. He has
served with the Athletic Department as a mechanic for 2 years and sports turf
maintenance for 8 years.

Prior to working with the Athletic Department, Earnhardt worked at Cross Creek
Plantation Golf Course in sports turf maintenance.

Josh Runion is in his third year as an Assistant Equipment Manager for Clemson
Athletics. Runion served as the graduate assistant for football in the spring of
2004 before being hire full time that summer. As and undergraduate he served as
student baseball manager from 2001-2004 and a student football manager from
2003-2004.

Runion is a 2004 Graduate of Clemson University where he earned his degree in
Elementary Education. He is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers
Association. Runion is married to the former Brandi Leigh Couch of Heath
Springs, South Carolina
